ACCOMMODATION

The
Centre is decentralised into 6 houses. The school (where most of
the subjects are taught, and which is the only traditional style
building, more than 100 years old), the Mess house and the Office(which
is also the main guest house) are just 50 metres apart, by the Chengannur
- Kozhencherry road.

- Accommodation
is provided in modern village houses
- There
are 3 guest houses for the centre, scattered around in the village.
All the houses are just 300-500 metres apart.
- One
of these houses also has the office and reception and offers space
for classes in vocal music and languages. Painting and Ayurveda
classes take place in another guest house.
- There
are fifteen rooms available in these three houses.
- Most
of these rooms have enough space for double / single accommodation
- One
room is large enough to accommodate a family of four members.
- Six
rooms have attached bath with European WC.

- The
remaining rooms do not have attached baths but have baths inside
the houses, to share (the room to bath ratio is 2:1)
- All
the baths have showers and running water. There is no running
hot water, but on request water-heating coils would be provided
- A
table lamp, an almarah /shelf, an easy chair, mosquito repellent
machine (electric gadgets), repellent tablets, mosquito net, candles
and match box are provided in each room.
- Toilet
paper, toilet soap and bath towel (Kerala towels) are provided
in the bath rooms.
- All
the rooms have a ceiling fan and have enough windows and ventilators
- All
our houses are connected by intercom, hence you are never too
far away.
- A
Colour Telivision with International channels like BBC, CNN, HBO,
Start Movies etc. is there in each of these houses.
- The
road is never far. Its life and noise is part of Kerala culture.
One more incentive, for all of you to find inner silence.

over the wall, neighbouring children may peep and joyfully call out

You
will never feel like staying in a hotel in the centre, but only
like staying in a family and will feel responsible for the houses
you live in, as yours !.
You
can also use the terrace and the gardens of these houses.
We
do not own any of our houses. All the 6 houses are rented buildings.
Hence,
our accommodation system and style could change as we have new houses
or when we loose an existing house. |
