| In
1977, after about 8 years of living in Kerala, Louba Schild felt
the need to share her experience of the greatness of traditional
Indian culture and also to revive the interest of the people of
India in their own heritage.
For
the purpose, she devoted her enthusiasm and energy to the creation
of the VIJNANA KALA VEDI, while keeping up with the deep spiritual
background of South Indian culture.
Thereafter,
she has always been there in the cultural scenario of Kerala, preserving
its tradition.
The
Kerala Government adopted her idea of creating a Centre for the
traditional architecture and mural paintings by setting up "the
Vasthu Vidya Gurukulam" in Aranmula. She is now the Vice Chair
person of the Centre.
Through
her, Vijnana Kala Vedi actively enquires into the roots of culture
and is open to new perspectives towards the harmonious balance between
tradition and modern life. |
