Regulations Form/ IMPORTANT POINTS,
to be understood by the student,FOR LIVING IN THE CENTRE,
which you have to read and sign upon your arrival in the centre, before check in

I, (please write name and full home address)
…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………… ……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………. hereby enroll in Vijnana Kala Vedi Centre as a student and I will be staying from today,……………………………………. to ………………………………………………

I have read and understood the following points, which are quite important for the safety and security of all the students in the centre and also for the future students and for a dignified existence of the Centre in a typical Kerala village society.

  • The use of alcohol, drugs and non-veg food are not permitted in the centre.
  •
  • The centre do not mind if I visit local Bars for alcoholic or non alcoholic drinks. However, I must be careful with the friends I make in a Local Bar and need not extend such friendship outside the Bars. I shall not invite such “Bar-friends” to the centre.
  •
  • I should not be found drunk in the centre (for that matter even outside the centre,in the village or near by towns, which even causes problems for the centre) or should not cause any nuisance to any body else in a drunk state, day or night.
  •
  • I understand that I shall not even mention to local friends (I make in the village and around) in which house of the centre, I am living. I only have to say that I live in Vijnana Kala Vedi to any friends.
  •
  • If I want to have any guest, foreign or Indian or local, I will ask them to meet me only at the Office house, between 9.0 am and 6.0 pm. In no way shall I invite anybody, other than the students in the centre, to meet me at my house.
  •
  • In any case, if somebody turns up at my house, I will immediately inform the office and direct them to the office house and meet them at the office house only. I will inform the office if I see anybody other than the staff in my house.
  •
  • I understand that I can make lot of friends in the village but there are bad elements too in the village, and the Centre know about this better and they will point/warn me if ever I am in contact with a dangerous person (for myself/other students/centre) and I will understand the situation.
  •
  • I will not indulge in any other serious activities in or around the village without informing the centre and without its consent, than for the general purpose for which I have come to the centre and for the basic leisurely village activities. (the serious activities are: any paid or unpaid jobs, voluntary work, religious or political activities, selling of any drugs, liquor or articles, flirting with any local people, any sexual activities with adult-locals and/or child sex/pornography etc.)
  •
I understand that all the above is very important for my own safety and also for the present and future students in the centre and also for the Centre by itself and I will abide by them. I cannot plead ignorance of the above regulations.

If ever, I violate any of the above the centre has full freedom to take necessary action. I understand that I might be even asked to leave the centre immediately on violation of the above.

  • I also understand that Retention charges apply, for an early departure from the centre.

The centre would like to reinstate that the above regulations are not intended in any ways to restrict your freedom or your normal living in the village. You can still enjoy the village and its people as much possible adhering to the above. These are quite important for the safety and security of all our students and also for a decent existence of the centre by itself in an orthodox Kerala society
